Project Manager

Design Culture is looking for a Project Manager to join us and play a pivotal role in our growing business. more

The project manager will provide the day to day communications bridge between our clients, designers and developers. You will manage digital, design and brand projects through the studio to exceed our clients expectations in terms of quality and success, delivering on time and to budget.

You will be extremely well organised, confident, professional, articulate and energetic. You will have a genuine interest in design and digital and the role they play in how we communicate with one another.

You will need to demonstrate your attention to detail across all areas of project management – agreeing the scope of work, ensuring financial accuracy when managing budgets, developing schedules and ensuring the creative and development teams deliver to both the brief and the deadline.

You’ll be able to articulate your views and be able to recognise what’s important to achieve a successful outcome. You will need to empathise with both clients and the studio team through more challenging situations.

You’ll work under your own initiative much of the time but be supported by and report to the two Directors. This is an exciting and diverse role, and a real opportunity for the right person to shape the role to be their own and make a big difference to the studio.

Key tasks

  • Respond to client enquiries providing reasoned responses, options and timelines.
  • Negotiate, establish and manage budgets
  • Obtain necessary input from client during process
  • Form close client relationships an spot opportunities and risks
  • Communicate with client and internal team at regular intervals
  • Provide client perspective to internal team, communicate team perspective robustly to clients
  • Manage project milestones
  • Manage studio resources
  • Liaise with studio manager and directors

Skills required

  • Highly organised, proactive and methodical with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience, understanding and interest in the creative processes – digital and print and brand
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a high number of concurrent projects/tasks
  • Clear thinking under pressure

You will be a key member of our digital team delivering projects to a wide range of clients within our specialist sectors – Education, Healthcare, Charity & Culture. You will be passionate about digital design and comfortable leading the creative process from the creation of sitemaps through wireframes and into visuals and mockups. Transforming great ideas into exceptional digital experiences.

3-5 years experience. Portfolio of real world projects.

 

Skills required:

  • Able to be client facing with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident in pitching
  • Able to work with and coordinate other developers and designers
  • Able to work on consultative basis with clients
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in design, interaction design
  • Able to plan and deliver both product and technical roadmaps

Brand Strategist

Design Culture is looking for an experienced brand and communication strategist to join our team and play a pivotal role within our growing business. more

You will be a key member of our team delivering projects to a wide range of clients within our specialist sectors – Education, Healthcare, Charity & Culture. Reporting to the two company Directors.

Tasks:

  • Conduct marketing research, including running interviews and focus groups, analysing competitors and market trends, and developing customer personas
  • Develop brand strategies, including the positioning, value proposition, brand idea and personality
  • Develop communication strategies, including determining which messages and channels to reach the audience with, and developing content and marketing calendars in line with this
  • Develop digital strategies that utilise SEO, content and social media to create inbound leads and improve engagement
  • Write compelling messaging that supports the brand and communication strategies, and that can be developed into copy
  • Run client workshops to gather insight, get feedback on and input into projects, and bring the organisation on board with a proposed approach
  • Respond to tenders, including identifying the organisations needs, and developing a plan for how to best meet them
  • Manage some of the agency’s larger brand, campaign and digital projects, ensuring that delivery is on time, within budget, and in line with the agreed strategy

Required skills:

  • A strong understanding of strategic marketing principles
  • Experience in conducting and interpreting market research
  • Experience in planning, leading, and managing strategic brand and communication projects
  • Clear and compelling written communication
  • Confident and engaging verbal presentation

Preferable skills:
